Boylan secures €116,000 funding for local community

Dublin Sinn Féin Councillor Janice Boylan has revealed that a variety of projects proposed by her seeking funding from this year’s council discretionary fund have been approved. The projects include the upgrading of local roads, community development, historical commemorative events, dance schools and a new education fund.

Welcoming the confirmation, Councillor Boylan said,

“I’m delighted that the five proposals which I put forward have been approved worth €116,000. This funding will go a long way towards enhancing services for the local community such as road resurfacing on Aughrim Street and funding for Little Stars Creche and St Michans Residents Association. I’ve also secured funding for the Family Parish Centre which will enable a stair lift be installed for senior citizens and some face-lifting work carried out.

“This is a positive example of DCC and locally elected representatives delivering for the local community. The beneficiary organisations all play an essential role in servicing the needs of our local community and I know that this funding will go some way towards assisting their work in the time ahead.
