Dublin City Sinn Féin councillor Janice Boylan has called on people to support their local teachers and to give them some encouragement whilst they stand outside their local schools protesting for their rights.
Speaking today from a picket line at St. Josephs Secondary School in Manor Street Cllr Boylan said:
“These teachers are standing up for what they believe is best for their student’s education. They deserve to be treated fairly. I walked around my local area and stopping by to offer my support to the local schools particularly St. Joseph’s Secondary School where I went to school myself.
The Minister needs to realise that teachers are a vital part to our children’s school lives and we need them to be happy and content with their working conditions.
