Fagan raises street cleaning with Dublin City Council

Sinn Féin’s representative in Dublin north-east inner city Councillor Gaye Fagan has called on Dublin City Council to make greater resources available towards street cleaning in the north-inner city.

Speaking after raising a number of questions with Dublin City Council officials, Councillor Fagan said,

“I’m concerned that adequate resources aren’t being provided towards street cleaning north of the city. It’s apparent from taking short walks in the area that pavements are being neglected. There is a growing problem with dog fouling and illegal dumping which is negatively impacting on this part of our city. DCC has a responsibility to pursue those who are deliberately flouting the law with little or no respect for other citizens. I’m calling on Dublin City Council to place a greater focus on this immediately.”
