Dublin Sinn Féin city councillor Janice Boylan has welcomed the news that the Moore street traders are happy to proceed with plans to install new lights, bollards and to hire a new market manager. The decision was reached following a meeting this morning with Dublin City Council officials and traders.
Speaking today Cllr Boylan confirmed that this is the kind of engagement that will be needed to bring to fruition other plans for the historical street.
“Moore Street needs an overhaul to bring it back to the once thriving street it was.
Communication and consultation is key to any plans being adopted and I am committed to liaising with both traders and DCC officials to ensure this happens.
The next meeting is due to held within the next two months and the traders have pledged to write up suggestions, proposals and a plan for how the street can be made better.”
