Cllr. Séamas McGrattan

COUNCILLOR SÉAMAS McGRATTAN was co-opted to Dublin City Council in January 2008, and he was then re-elected in the Local Elections of June 2009. He lives in the family home in Kinvara Park where he was born and reared. Séamas attended John Bosco’s Primary School and St. Declan’s CBS Secondary School. He is an active member of Naomh Fionnbarra GAA Club in Cabra where he is currently Club Secretary. He also mentors underage teams and is a keen Dubs supporter. Séamas’s love of sport does not end at the GAA, and he has been Chairman of Dublin Council’s Sport Committee since 2010.

Séamas is also a member of the following Council Committees:

  • Arts, Culture, Leisure & Community Strategic Policy Committee
  • Protocol Committee
  • Central Area Committee
  • Central Area Joint Policing Committee

Most of Séamas’s work takes place within the Community he represents. He is very active on a number of local groups including the Cabra Policing Forum, Cabra For Youth, the Cabra/Finglas Drugs Task Force and he is also a member of the HSE Forum for Dublin North.
